Recently, the Pat Cronin Foundation visited Youth2Industry College to present their ‘Violence is Never OK’ presentation to our young people.

The Pat Cronin Foundation was built in honour of Pat Cronin, a 19-year-old who lost his life after being punched in the back of the head whilst trying to pull his friend out of a brawl. They work with schools, clubs, community groups and young people to end the Coward Punch together, by providing an optimistic voice and empowering approach to awareness, education and research.

Sharing real and relatable stories about social violence, the presentation not only had our students thinking about their choices and consequences but also helped them understand how to manage anger before it escalates into aggression, and what strategies can be used to defuse conflict.
